Thankfulness of a New Mom

Thankfulness of a New Mom:
As the years have gone by I have been participating in ’30 days of thankfulness’ and have realized just how much that has changed this year due to the fact that I’m a new mom. Here’s a list of things that I am thankful for which you may relate to as well!

# 1 – Metamucil : Lets face it, after pushing out a baby; you don’t want to push anything else ‘out’. Fiber is a GODSEND!

#2 – Swipe Keyboard : We are already in dire need of four more hands, this one-handed capability allows me to stay connected with the world…even in my rumpled shirt with permanent spit-up stains on it.

#3 -CrockPot : throw everything in, press a button, and walah! Dinner without having to think about it!

#4 - Fellow Mamas : it does take a village to raise a child and to keep your sanity. You need your fellow mamas to empathize about the beautiful messes through raising our children.

#5 - Nap Time : These get you through your hectic, tired day! Banking on the fact that this beautiful screaming, teething, child of yours will eventually fall asleep (and counting down to it) is what keeps you moving!

#6 - Warm Food : lets face it, mamas don't get to savor and eat in silence, or slowly, let alone eat the warm scrumptious food on our plates because we've got to tend to our little ones first. Eating a hot plate of food is few and far between but oh so yummy!

#7 - Taking a shower : another feat that is a rare occurrence. Moms needs showers to feel like a human again. Forget blow drying your hair or putting on makeup, getting a hot shower baby free is a miracle! On the 3rd or dare I say 4th day when you look like death, put your baby in their crib for a nap and let the hot water peel back the layers of grime to bring you back to the life of the living.

#8 - Ponytails : (see #7) On day 4, need I say more?

#9 -Free Shipping: this is a beautiful thing as you can feel accomplished knowing that diapers, wipes, dish soap, and even food can be delivered straight to you door.. without ever having to leave the house!

#10 - Technology / Internet: the world is literally at my fingertips! This is a great mini-escape to know that life outside your house is still out there!
