Morning fellow mama, sister, and confidant,
I just wanted to write you some encouragement today because
frankly, I know you need it. I’m sorry that your night rolled into the day without sleep, that you had trial
after trial just crash upon your exhausted mind. I’m sorry that motherhood is
hard and that you’re hundreds of miles away from me so I can’t physically help.
But I can send my prayers, I can send you my words.
You’re doing it. You’re surviving. You’re still standing.
In our small group last night we were going through the Armor
of God and another fellow mama pointed out that God calls us to stand. Multiple
times He reiterates the fact to stand firm, not to advance, not to dredge forward,
but to just stand your ground.
When we are exhausted, when our child has been literally
screaming all day, when the throw up on the floor is just the last thing you
can handle, remember that you are still standing. In the thick of it, in the
trenches we call motherhood, stand firm in God. Reach out to family, friends,
fellow soldier mamas that can help fortify your defenses in this daily,
sometimes minute to minute battle.
Again I’ll say:
You’re doing it. You’re surviving. You’re still standing.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that
when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done
everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, -Ephesians
6:13-14a, NIV
Thank you for being God's messenger!
